Newsroom - MoI to showcase FEDLIMS data management system at Gitex 2012

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) will showcase at Gitex 2011 FEDLIMS data management system which manages knowledge via the internet, as well as database software known as MicroLIMS to help expedite performance and deliver high quality services.

The Abu Dhabi Police Forensics Department is using this system for the first time in region.

It is fully integrated data management software which support all practices and systems to improve information sharing at the department and between all the branches, said Director of forensic evidence department at Abu Dhabi Police, Colonel Abdurrahman Al Hammadi.

The software helps make information accessible by all employees of a particular department, which boosts communication and make transference of information fro and to departments much easier.

It also helps ensure the highest levels of confidentiality in tracking paper less administrative procedures such as issues and reports.

The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, is holding daily raffles draws for members. In addition , to other valuable prizes, Visitors to the Abu Dhabi Police stand at Gitex may also enter raffle draws on a number of electronic appliances including an IPad and many mobile phones, by subscribing in a questionnaire that has been distributed to visitors.

The objective of these daily raffle draws is to encourage visitors to learn about the e-services which the MoI offers to the members of the public, to enhance levels of interaction with them, and to take their suggestions and recommendations, said Lt. Colonel Faisal Al Shammari, security information officer and chairman of the executive committee.
